Keeps GERD and reflux at bay. Slippery elm coats the digestive tract, promoting healing. My husband discontinued his PPI medication for GERD and now takes two capsules of slippery elm with each meal. On the medication, he still experienced considerable pain, but now it occurs only about twice a week. The results are truly excellent! When he does have pain, we prepare a tea from the slippery elm powder, and it swiftly alleviates the discomfort. Simply open the capsules to obtain a teaspoon of powder, add boiling water, and enjoy thick, bland tea that benefits from a sweetener.

An excellent herbal gastroprotector. Red elm should be in every medicine cabinet for those suffering from GERD. This remarkable herb safeguards the gastrointestinal mucosa, swiftly alleviating sore throat from casts and reducing acid sensations in the mouth. Red elm is a true gastroprotector, unlike PPIs, which many doctors prescribe without comprehending the aftermath of their use. Elm capsules should be taken 20-30 minutes before meals.

When I mix the powder with water, it doesn’t turn into gel but merely creates a brown powder mixture. I haven’t noticed any effects on my Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease so far. I’ve since purchased slippery elm from another shop, which does gel when mixed with water.

Questionable quality

I consider this money wasted! My mother has Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease and uses PPIs regularly. She hoped to reduce her intake to once every few days. The positives: the tablets are small and have a neutral taste. The downsides: ridiculously overpriced, with a need to take many capsules before meals, which complicates the schedule for taking other supplements. Additionally, I found the product led to a significant decrease in protein levels despite a rich diet.
